Penn State quarterback Rocco Becht revealed that he hasn't determined the class he'll take during the fall semester after transferring to the Nittany Lions from Iowa State.

"I don't know yet, we haven't picked it yet," Becht told reporters Thursday (0:35 mark). "So, we've gotta do that here coming up this weekend for school to start next week. Yeah, I'm in one class. I guess it's the props of being graduated and being a fifth-year."

The 22-year-old graduated from Iowa State with a degree in communication studies in Dec. 2025 before transferring.

Becht still had one year of eligibility remaining, as he redshirted for the Cyclones in 2022.

He went on to serve as Iowa State's starting quarterback from 2023-25, throwing for 9,209 yards and 64 touchdowns across that span.

During the 2025 season, Becht completed 60.5 percent of his passes for 2,584 yards and 16 touchdowns while getting picked off nine times in 12 games. He helped the Cyclones finish with a record of 8-4.

Becht has now reunited with head coach Matt Campbell in Happy Valley, as Campbell previously coached him throughout his tenure at Iowa State before he was hired by Penn State as James Franklin's full-time replacement.

Becht was one of 24 former Cyclones players to follow Campbell to the Nittany Lions in the transfer portal (h/t 247Sports'ย Tyler Donohue).

While Penn State is coming off a disappointing 7-6 finish in 2025, the team is still looking to climb up the Big Ten standings next season. The school was listed at No. 18 in the preseason Associated Pressย Top 25.

As Becht prepares to start under center, he has yet to pick out his lone class for the upcoming semester.
