"Crafted to honor the history of Mizzou Football, the newly designed uniforms capture vintage snapshots of the program across several defining eras," the announcement read. "Each element was intentionally selected to represent a distinct chapter in the Tigers' history while creating a classic, cohesive look for the Centennial celebration."
Among those elements are a classic M logo representing when the stadium was constructed in the 1920s and a Block M on the helmet that "represents a historic look that evolved over the second half of the 20th Century and into the new millennium."
The game against Troy will be the Tigers' third of the season. They start the campaign on Sept. 3 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
