'Absolute Badass' QB Noah Fifita Hyped by Arizona HC & Rival, 'Best of the Best of Everything'

Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita is entering his final season of college football after a tremendous 2025 campaign.

As the Wildcats look to put together a strong season, head coach Brent Brennan described Fifita as an "absolute badass," and offensive coordinator Seth Doege is looking forward to seeing what all he can do.

"He's the best of the best of everything, where he has enough ability to hurt you with his legs," Doege told ESPN's Adam Rittenberg. "... Now you're starting to add a few more things because he can handle it. I know we can do everything with him. But what is he? What is he really, really good at?"

Fifita is coming off the best season of his career in which he threw for 3,228 yards, 29 touchdowns and six interceptions while adding 216 yards and three scores on the ground on his way to being named first-team all-conference.

"He might be the best one in the league," a Big 12 defensive coordinator said. "I've always thought that about him. Offensively, aside from him last year, I don't know if they had anybody that was really noteworthy. He just kind of made everything go. He's going to always have his eyes downfield. I don't know what happened to them two years ago, because they kind of fell on hard times, and then last year, they were kind of back to where they were three years ago."

Arizona had a solid 9-4 campaign last year but ultimately fell short of the College Football Playoff. The Wildcats could be a CFP team this year with one of the best quarterbacks in the nation under center.
