Dante Moore Hyped by Rival Big Ten Coaches as Oregon QB a Top-5 Pick in 2027 NFL Mock Draft

After passing on the 2026 NFL draft to return to Oregon, star quarterback Dante Moore is being hyped as one of the best signal-callers in the nation.

ESPN's Adam Rittenberg spoke to multiple rival coaches who praised Moore for his impressive first year as the Ducks' starter.

"Dante was exceptionally good," a Big Ten coach said. "He was the most confident back there. He had the best presence of all the guys. He looks the part, he acts the part, he controls the line of scrimmage. He throws a good ball, but he was a guy who continued to make good decisions."

"His arm talent certainly jumps out," a Big Ten defensive coordinator added. "His arm talent, his ability to improvise, the ability to throw from different locations, his ability to ad-lib."

Moore threw for 3,565 yards, 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while completing 71.8 percent of his passes last season. He likely would've been a top-two pick in the 2026 NFL draft, but with just 20 career starts under his belt, he opted to add more experience at Oregon.

Moore is still viewed as a future NFL star. B/R's Brent Sobleski predicted in his 2027 mock draft that he would be the No. 4 pick by the Arizona Cardinals and the third quarterback off the board behind Texas' Arch Manning and Miami's Darian Mensah.

It's safe to say that Moore will be motivated to exceed expectations in 2026 as he tries to stand out from a deep class of quarterbacks.
