Caitlin Clark Ruling on 8th Technical Foul Made By WNBA, Will Fever Star Be Suspended?

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark will not be suspended after the WNBA rescinded her eighth technical foul of the season, according to Kareem Copeland of ESPN.

Clark had received her eighth technical foul of the 2026 WNBA season during a matchup with the Chicago Sky on Saturday. The Fever immediately appealed the ruling, head coach Stephanie White told reporters after the game.

Had Clark been suspended, she would have missed a clash with the New York Liberty on Tuesday.

Clark was called for the technical foul after making contact with an official once she stepped out of bounds following a pass that she made while driving underneath the basket.

White was also given a technical for arguing the call.

The Fever have appealed multiple technicals for Clark this season, though Saturday's was the first one to be successful.

The three-time All-Star's seven technical fouls are the most in the WNBA this year, as only five players have picked up more than four technicals.

The 24-year-old is in the midst of an impressive 2026 campaign, averaging 21.5 points and 8.0 assists per game heading into Saturday's matchup. She also shot 44.1 percent from the field and 34.1 percent from behind the arc.

Clark finished with 26 points and 11 assists against Chicago.
