After signing with the Philadelphia 76ers, star forward LeBron James received a major endorsement from the franchise's biggest legend.

Hall of Famer Allen Iverson, who was nicknamed "The Answer" throughout his legendary career, declared on the latest episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show that James deserves the moniker after bringing his talents to Philadelphia.

"I'm just happy for the city of Philadelphia, man," Iverson told Smith (h/t Julian Ojeda of ClutchPoints). "For the team, the type of player he is, the type of person he is. Just happy, man. He brings a lot. He really is the answer."

Iverson played for the Sixers for the first 10-plus seasons of his career from 1996-2006 and again in his final NBA season in 2009-10. His No. 3 jersey was retired by the franchise in 2014, and he remains one of Philadelphia's most beloved sports figures.

Now, it will be up to James to try to lead the Sixers to their first NBA championship since 1983. Philadelphia will be among the title favorites in the 2026-27 season, so Iverson and the rest of the team's legends will be ready to celebrate if James can end the longstanding championship drought.
