Ohio State Unveils JPMorganChase Jersey Patch in Video, Photos After Historic Contract
Ohio State will be donning a new JPMorganChase jersey patch starting in 2026 as part of a sponsorship deal with all 36 varsity sports programs.
The Buckeyes announced the agreement with JPMorganChase on Tuesday. ESPN's Pete Thamel added the deal is expected to pay the university $17 million annually.
Ohio State previously signed the richest apparel deal in college sports with a 15-year, $252 million agreement with Nike that was finalized in 2016.
Combined now with the JPMorganChase patch, the Buckeyes are making roughly $33.9 million between the two deals alone.
Per a Dec. 2025 report from Michael Ozanian of CNBC, Ohio State is the second-most valuable college athletics program in the country with a valuation of $1.35 billion. Texas is atop the list with a $1.48 billion valuation.
The 2026 season marks the first time the NCAA is allowing Division Iteams to sell ad space on uniforms, equipment and apparel after receiving approval from the D-1 cabinet.
NCAA rules allow for up to two brand logos and limited up to four square inches per logo.
The JPMorganChase agreement will add even more money to the Ohio State NIL collective that was already at $20 million just for the 2024 football team that won the College Football Playoff.
Ohio State football will debut the new jersey patch on Sept. 5 when it hosts Ball State at the Horseshoe in the 2026 season opener.
