5-Star RB David Gabriel Georges Makes Commitment Between Ohio State, Ole Miss, Tennessee

David Gabriel Georges, a 5-star running back from Chattanooga, committed to Tennessee on Wednesday over Ohio State and Ole Miss.

Georges is considered the No. 10 prospect in the Class of 2027, per 247Sports' Composite Rankings, the No. 2 running back and the No. 1 prospect from the state of Tennessee.

"The coaches are the main thing for me—they've done a great job with me and my family," Georges said after making his decision.

It was quite a lucrative deal that secured Georges' commitment, however:

He may ultimately be well worth the investment.

Andrew Ivins of 247Sports called Georges a "hard-driving running back with the quickness and power to emerge as the centerpiece of an offense for a College Football Playoff contender" in his scouting report, adding that he's "tracking to be a difference-maker on Saturdays and will have a chance to follow in the footsteps of other Canadian-born ball carriers that have made the pros."

In the past two seasons at the high school level, Georges has rushed for 2,852 and 41 touchdowns.

It's a huge get for Tennessee, which was searching for a class-defining addition after previously landing seven 4-stars recruits for 2027. Josh Heupel and his staff have to be thrilled with the direction of the 2027 class now that Georges is in the fold.
