Class of 2028 quarterback Knox Kiffin, son of LSU football coach Lane Kiffin, says his goal is to have a more productive college career than his dad.

Kiffin's father served as backup quarterback in the late 90's for Fresno State, but didn't see any playing time before transitioning to serve as a graduate assistant coach.

"Yeah, no, he wasn't good. He wasn't very good at all. I'm definitely trying to be better than him," Kiffin said when asked about his father's college career by Chessa Bouche of Louisiana First News (h/t SportsCenter Next).

Kiffin continued, "He was the third string, so I don't want to do that. I'm trying to be as good as I can."

Kiffin recently transferred from Mississippi's Oxford High School to Louisiana's University Lab School ahead of his junior high school season.

He is currently listed as a three-star prospect and the No. 51 quarterback available in the 2028 class by 247Sports. He holds offers from programs including Vanderbilt, Memphis, Missouri, Cal and SMU, per 247Sports.
