Nick Saban Tells Florida's Jon Sumrall to 'Get Your S--t Together' in Video from SEC Media Days

Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban had a funny interaction with Florida's Jon Sumrall ahead of the 2026 college football season.

During the SEC Network's coverage of the SEC Media days, Saban joked that Sumrall needs to "get your s--t together" or he is going to be on him.

Even though Saban is most closely associated with the Crimson Tide, he mentioned in his pep talk that he considers himself a "semi-Gator" because he now resides in Florida and new University president Stuart Bell previously held the same position at Alabama from 2015 to '25.

There are plenty of Gators fans who might share Saban's sentiments because Sumrall is being tasked with getting the program back on track. He was hired in November after going 43-12 in four seasons between Troy and Tulane, with the latter earning a berth in the College Football Playoff last season.

Florida was in the market for a new head coach after going 4-8 in 2025. It was the program's fourth losing season in the past five years. Billy Napier, who had been coaching the team since 2022, was fired in October after a 3-4 start.

Billy Gonzales finished out the 2025 campaign as interim coach for the Gators. He led them to a 1-4 record over their final five games.
