Ryan Coleman-Williams to Graduate from Alabama at Age 19 Ahead of 2027 NFL Draft

Alabama wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams will graduate in December after just two-and-a-half years at the school, Crimson Tide football head coach Kalen DeBoer told reporters at SEC Media Days on Wednesday.

Coleman-Williams, who was born on February 9, 2007, will secure his degree at 19 years old before presumably heading off to the NFL.

DeBoer mentioned earlier this summer that Williams was on track to graduate this December, and that appears to still be the case.

"It's crazy to think that he's already in Year 3," DeBoer told reporters prior to an appearance at the First Light Community of Mobile Football Preview Dinner, per Creg Stephenson of AL.com. "Time's flown by, and I guess first thing I want to say is how proud I am of what he is also off the field, not just on the field. And that's what everyone sees. But here's a guy that's going to have his degree by the end of December, and that's two-and-a-half years. He's full-fledged in the schoolwork, spring, fall, and even right now in the summer."

Coleman-Williams opened up about his future at SEC Media Days.

"I mean, honestly, for me, you know, I've just been focusing on getting ready for fall camp," he told reporters. "If I'm being just honest about it. But I get my degree this December and that's super exciting for me. So really just focusing in on this season and getting my degree. After that, like you said, there will be decisions to be made. But I'm just excited for right now."

In the meantime, Coleman-Williams is getting ready for the 2026 season, which begins for Alabama on Saturday, Sept. 5 vs. East Carolina. Coleman-Williams is Alabama's top returning receiver after finishing second on the team in receptions (49) and yards (689).

The leader in those categories, Germie Bernard, is off to the pros and playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2026. Coleman-Williams will be asked to help lead the way on offense as Alabama looks to improve upon a College Football Playoff quarterfinal appearance last year.
