Marcus Freeman 'All-In' on Notre Dame After Shutting Down NFL HC Interest

Marcus Freeman may have had NFL interest this offseason, but he doesn't sound like he plans on going anywhere else anytime soon.

"I'm all-in. I've been all-in," the Notre Dame head coach told reporters Tuesday. "I don't see myself being the head coach or coaching anywhere else."

"I plan on being here as long as I can," he added. "If I do a good enough job and I'm able and wanted to be the head coach here, I want to stay the head coach here."

That's great news in South Bend. Under Freeman Notre Dame has gone 43-12 since he took over, reaching the College Football Playoff National Championship Game during the 2024 season.

Last year's team didn't make the cut for the CFP despite being 10-2 and was irate at the decision, abstaining from any bowl games in what seemed to be a form of protest. It didn't help the school's argument when the team they felt they were snubbed for, Miami, reached the Championship Game, losing against Fernando Mendoza and Indiana.

But keeping Freeman in South Bend will make it far easier to bounce back from last season's disappointment.
