Before Lionel Messi and Argentina faced Lamine Yamal and Spain in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, some of the biggest names in music and entertainment took center stage during the tournament's closing ceremony.

Post Malone headlined the pregame celebration Sunday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, joined by Swae Lee and internet personality iShowSpeed.

Malone opened the festivities with performances of his new single, "Chrome Heartbreaker," before launching into his hit "Wow." 

Swae Lee then joined him onstage for a rendition of their 2018 chart-topping collaboration, "Sunflower," giving the packed crowd one final show before the world's biggest soccer match kicked off.

Streaming star iShowSpeed energized the crowd with a performance of his World Cup-inspired anthem, "Champions," adding to the tournament atmosphere and building anticipation ahead of kickoff.

As anticipation reached its peak, EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson delivered a stirring rendition of the U.S. national anthem, bringing the pregame ceremony to a powerful close before kickoff.

Justin Bieber, who was part of the halftime show, made a high-profile entrance before the match, while Tom Cruise delivered an impassioned speech that further energized the crowd ahead of kickoff.

Spain is seeking its second FIFA World Cup title on Sunday, led by 19-year-old sensation Yamal. Its lone championship came in 2010 with a victory over the Netherlands.

Argentina, meanwhile, is chasing its fourth World Cup crown and a second straight title after lifting the trophy in 2022. The defending champions are once again led by 39-year-old legend Messi, who is aiming to cap his international career with another historic triumph.
