Bill Belichick's Humble Car Choice Revealed by UNC Football's Christo Kelly, 'Just a Simple Man'

University of North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick is one of the highest-paid coaches in college football and an NFL coaching legend to boot, but that doesn't stop him from living modestly in certain respects.

UNC center Christo Kelly informed ESPN's Pete Thamel on Friday that Belichick drives a red Volvo station wagon that was made "somewhere in the 2000s."

Kelly said of Belichick, "He's just a simple man."

Belichick earns a $10.1 million salary, according to USA Today, but he won't be seen cruising the streets of Chapel Hill in a fancy car.

Belichick and the Tar Heels are set to open their 2026 season on August 29 against TCU.
