Karl-Anthony Towns Credits WWE's Danhausen for Knicks Winning NBA Title in New Trending Video
New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns is willing to give credit where it's due to anyone who had a hand in the team winning the 2026 NBA championship.
So when Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin introduced Towns to WWE Superstar Danhausen, Towns quickly recognized his contributions to the Knicks' title win after he uncursed the team during its epic playoff run.
"Do you know who this is?" Rubin asked Towns.

"Of course, the man who got us the chip," Towns replied.
Danhausen originally cursed the Knicks in the first round of the playoffs after a back-and-forth with ESPN's Stephen A. Smith during an episode of First Take. He later removed the curse, kicking off New York's iconic postseason success, which included back-to-back series sweeps in the conference semifinals and finals before defeating the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals in five games. He had also uncursed the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes, who won the Stanley Cup.
For his efforts, Danhausen received a formal invitation to the Knicks' championship parade in New York City. He even convinced star point guard Jalen Brunson of the strength of his powers, as the 2026 NBA Finals MVP told Jimmy Fallon, "At first I was a little skeptical, but I mean, you have to believe it now."
Still, Danhausen feels entitled to more rewards after the Knicks' championship win, and Towns could be the one who has to pay up.
"Give me your watch," Danhausen told Towns. "Yeah, I need the watch. Shoes, too."
