Updated Top 100 Prospect List After 2026 MLB Draft Results
With the 2026 MLB draft complete, it's time for an update to B/R's leaguewide Top 100 prospect list.
All told, 12 players from this year's draft immediately jump into our updated rankings, including Roch Cholowsky (No. 1 to CWS), Grady Emerson (No. 2 to TB) and Vahn Lackey (No. 3 to MIN) who make their Top 100 debut as top-25 prospects.
The following factors helped determine where each player landed in our rankings:
Future Potential: Long-term upside often trumps production in prospect discussions, especially in the lower levels of the minors and with recent draft picks. Raw tools are often a better indicator of future value than early on-field production.
Present Tools: For prospects in the upper levels of the minors who are close to reaching the big leagues, on-field production and polished tools were the determining factors since those players are viewed as more complete products.
Eligibility: A player must maintain rookie eligibility to be considered for inclusion. That means no more than 130 big league at-bats for position players, 50 innings for pitchers or 45 days on the active roster.
Let's dive right in.

94. LHP Gio Rojas, TEX — 2026 Draft Pick
93. RHP Karson Milbrandt, MIA
92. RHP Kyson Witherspoon, BOS
91. 2B Michael Arroyo, SEA
-With an imposing 6'6", 255-pound frame and a terrific fastball-slider combination, Riley Quick has quickly emerged as the top pitching prospect in the Twins system after going No. 36 overall in the 2025 draft. He sports a 3.47 ERA with 74 strikeouts in 49.1 innings between Single-A and High-A.
-An undersized (5'10") prep player with an advanced hit tool, Kayson Cunningham fits the mold of prospect the D-backs have done a nice job developing in recent years. With a .323/.416/.435 line and a 14.1 percent walk rate, he has been as advertised in his first full professional season.
-Karson Milbrandt dominated over nine starts at Double-A to start the season, logging a 1.34 ERA with 70 strikeouts in 47 innings before he was promoted to Triple-A. He has more walks (22) than strikeouts (20) in 23 innings since moving up a level, but his swing-and-miss stuff still has him trending up overall on the year.

87. LHP Kash Mayfield, SD
86. RHP Jonah Tong, NYM
85. 3B Andrew Fischer, MIL
84. OF Francisco Renteria, PHI
83. RHP Brody Hopkins, TB
82. OF Cole Carrigg, COL
81. SS Wyatt Sanford, PIT
-One of the top power bats in the 2025 high school class, Xavier Neyens has lived up to the hype in his pro debut, hitting .240/.449/.462 with 14 home runs in 68 games at Single-A. His 30.2 percent strikeout rate is concerning, but he has countered it with a staggering 25.9 percent walk rate.
-Jonah Tong led the minors with 179 strikeouts last season, despite spending the final month in the big league rotation. He has been hit hard back at Triple-A this year, serving up a 6.00 ERA in 66 innings, and 15 home runs allowed has been a major reason for his struggles. Still only 23, he has the stuff to be a long-term rotation piece if he can iron out the long ball issues.
-The Phillies shelled out $4 million to sign Francisco Renteria in January, and one of the top talents in the 2026 international class is off to a fantastic start in the Dominican Summer League. The 17-year-old is hitting .357/.438/.571 in 29 games and just scratching the surface of his vast offensive potential.

76. SS Dax Kilby, NYY
75. C/1B Josue Briceño, DET
74. RHP Elmer Rodríguez, NYY
73. RHP Carlos Lagrange, NYY
72. SS Bryce Rainer, DET
71. SS Jacob Lombard, MIA — 2026 Draft Pick
-In two pro seasons since going in the third round of the 2024 draft, left-hander Johnny King has a 2.80 ERA and 195 strikeouts in 128.2 innings, and the athleticism that made him a two-way prospect serves him well on the mound. He will need to cut down a 13.4 percent walk rate, but there is little question his stuff is Top 100-caliber.
-A towering 6'7" right-hander with an electric fastball-slider combination, Carlos Lagrange struck out 168 batters in 120 innings as a starter last season while reaching Double-A. The Yankees were in the process of transitioning him to the bullpen to help this year's team when he suffered a capsular sprain in his throwing shoulder in early July, but he could still debut during the second half.
-A first-round pick from the fast-moving 2024 draft, Bryce Rainer is being brought along more slowly than some of his classmates. That said, with a .289/.398/.495 line and 26 extra-base hits in 59 games at High-A, he will likely make his Double-A debut in the near future at the age of 21.

65. OF Emmanuel Rodríguez, MIN
64. OF Dakota Jordan, SF
63. 2B/OF Roldy Brito, COL
62. OF Eric Booth Jr., BAL — 2026 Draft Pick
61. OF Bo Davidson, SF
-One of the youngest and most athletic players in the 2025 draft, Steele Hall has made more of an impact at the plate than expected in his pro debut. While speed and a good glove at shortstop are still his best tools, he is hitting .299/.399/.557 with 16 doubles, 10 home runs, 42 RBI and 23 steals over 50 games in rookie ball.
-Since making his stateside debut in 2025, Roldy Brito has hit .349/.416/.511 with 67 extra-base hits in 163 games across rookie ball and Single-A. His defensive home is still up in the air, with second base and center field the most likely landing spots, but he can flat-out hit.
-Even with the draft shortened to 20 rounds, it's not often an impact prospect slips through the cracks. The Giants signed Bo Davidson for $50,000 out of Caldwell Community College in 2023 as an undrafted free agent, and with a .277/.340/.521 line that includes 19 home runs and 14 steals in 73 games at Double-A, he is a legitimate plus-power, plus speed center fielder.

60. OF Drew Burress, ATH — 2026 Draft Pick
59. SS Jhonny Level, SF
58. OF Luis Lara, MIL
57. LHP Joseph Dzierwa, BAL
56. RHP Jackson Flora, SF — 2026 Draft Pick
55. SS Aidan Miller, PHI
54. LHP Cam Caminiti, ATL
53. SS Cooper Pratt, MIL
52. C Caden Bodine, TB
51. OF Eduardo Quintero, LAD
-A three-year starter at Georgia Tech who hit .357/.484/.720 with 60 home runs in 179 games, Drew Burress figures to be one of the first players from the 2026 draft class to reach the majors. He has above-average tools across the board, including plus raw power packed into his 5'9" frame.
-With a tall 6'8" frame and a low, three-quarters arm slot, Joseph Dzierwa is an uncomfortable matchup in the batter's box. Drafted more for his floor than ceiling in the second round of the 2025 draft, he has dominated this year in his pro debut, posting a 2.30 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 106 strikeouts in 86 innings between High-A and Double-A.
-The Brewers signed Cooper Pratt to an eight-year, $50.75 million extension in April, then called him up for his MLB debut on June 16. Known as a standout defender, he has hit a respectable .257/.360/.324 over 89 plate appearances while settling in as the everyday shortstop.

46. SS Seaver King, WAS
45. SS Luis Hernández, SF
44. SS Arjun Nimmala, TOR
43. OF Ryan Waldschmidt, ARI
42. SS Emil Morales, LAD
41. SS JoJo Parker, TOR
-After back-to-back 20-homer seasons in the minors, Esmerlyn Valdez slugged 13 long balls in 56 games at Triple-A this year before making his MLB debut on May 22 and settling into a regular role in mid-June. In 105 plate appearances, he is hitting .309/.371/.713 with 10 home runs and the loud batted-ball metrics to back up that performance.
-One of only three players taken in the top 10 picks of the 2024 draft who has not already reached the majors, Seaver King has taken a major step toward joining the early standouts from his draft class this year. He hit .336/.427/.562 over 33 games at Double-A to open the year, and is now knocking on the door at Triple-A.
-The Dodgers have five players on B/R's Top 100 prospect list, and four of them are outfielders, with Emil Morales being the lone exception. The 19-year-old is currently playing shortstop with a chance to stick there, though his bat would also fit at third base, as he is hitting .288/.362/.544 with 25 doubles, 17 home runs and 77 RBI in 77 games between Single-A and High-A.

38. OF Zyhir Hope, LAD
37. C Rainiel Rodriguez, STL
36. SS Kaelen Culpepper, MIN
35. RHP Gage Wood, PHI
34. SS Angel Genao, CLE
33. C Alfredo Duno, CIN
32. OF Josiah Hartshorn, CHC
31. OF Eric Hartman, ATL
-The Angels sent Tyler Bremner to High-A for his pro debut, and he has handled that aggressive assignment in stride, posting a 4.24 ERA with 48 strikeouts in 34 innings over 11 starts. He is being brought along slowly, in part due to some arm fatigue issues, but he remains the clear No. 1 prospect in the Angels system.
-Josiah Hartshorn was the No. 181 overall pick in the 2025 draft, but the Cubs gave him a $2 million signing bonus, roughly the slot value of the No. 48 overall selection. That investment has paid immediate dividends, as he is hitting .276/.397/.503 with 14 doubles, 15 home runs and 66 RBI in 79 games between Single-A and High-A while sporting a 15.0 percent walk rate.
-Another recent late-round steal, Eric Hartman was selected in the 20th round of the 2024 draft out of the Canadian secondary school ranks and given a $337,500 bonus. After an underwhelming pro debut last year, he is batting .281/.359/.543 with 18 doubles, 21 home runs and 31 steals in 80 games at High-A.

28. OF Joshua Báez, STL
27. OF Edward Florentino, PIT
26. OF Lazaro Montes, SEA
25. C Vahn Lackey, MIN — 2026 Draft Pick
24. SS Sebastian Walcott, TEX
23. OF Brendan Montgomery, CWS
22. RHP Anthony Eyanson, BOS
21. RHP Kendry Chourio, KC
-After a lackluster start to his pro career, 2021 second-round pick Joshua Báez broke out last season with an .884 OPS while reaching Double-A. The 23-year-old has continued to impress this season, hitting .250/.321/.573 with 28 home runs in 82 games at Triple-A, though a 30.2 percent strikeout rate speaks to the refinement his offensive game still needs.
-It's easy to take an out of sight, out of mind approach with injured prospects, and Sebastian Walcott has missed the entire 2026 season after undergoing an internal brace procedure. However, he remains one of baseball's most exciting young offensive players, with huge raw power and a strong performance as a teenager at Double-A a year ago.
-With a combination of premium stuff and advanced pitchability for an 18-year-old, Kendry Chourio has rocketed up top prospect lists over the past year to rank among the game's top up-and-coming arms. Already pitching at the High-A level, he has a 2.26 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 65 strikeouts in 67.2 innings on the year.

16. SS Josuar Gonzalez, SF
15. RHP Ryan Sloan, SEA
14. SS George Lombard Jr., NYY
13. OF Mike Sirota, LAD
12. C Ethan Salas, SD
11. OF Theo Gillen, TB
-Now the top prospect in the Cleveland system with Travis Bazzana moving on to the majors, Ralphy Velazquez might join him in the not-too-distant future after earning an early promotion from Double-A to Triple-A. The 21-year-old is hitting .293/.386/.490 with 18 doubles and 11 home runs on the year, and he has still not come close to fully realizing his in-game power potential.
-After a down year in 2024 and an injury-shortened campaign in 2025, Ethan Salas is back to looking like the best catching prospect in baseball. The 20-year-old has a .284/.353/.422 line while cutting his strikeout rate from 20.9 to 14.2 percent and continuing to look the part of a future defensive standout.
-Hyped for his pure hit tool coming out of high school, Theo Gillen got off to a torrid start at High-A this year, hitting .342/.449/.589 with 12 doubles, 12 home runs and 28 steals in 57 games. That earned him a promotion to Double-A, and he is still two months shy of his 21st birthday.

Nos. 10-1
10. SS Grady Emerson, TB — 2026 Draft Pick
9. OF Walker Jenkins, MIN
8. SS Roch Cholowsky, CWS — 2026 Draft Pick
7. SS Eli Willits, WAS
6. LHP Kade Anderson, SEA
5. RHP Seth Hernandez, PIT
4. SS Franklin Arias, BOS
3. OF Josue De Paula, LAD
2. SS Leo De Vries, ATH
1. SS Jesús Made, MIL
-In 623 plate appearances over the last two seasons at UCLA, or roughly the equivalent of one full MLB season's worth of production, Roch Cholowsky hit .337/.466/.675 with 74 extra-base hits, 44 home runs and 134 RBI. Throw in his polished, standout glove at shortstop, and it's not hard to see why he was the No. 1 pick in the 2026 draft.
-Kade Anderson is quickly running out of things to prove against Double-A hitters, sporting a 1.36 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and an absurd 108-to-10 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 72.2 innings. It's looking more and more like he could have jumped directly from the LSU rotation in 2025 to the big leagues.
-The No. 32 prospect on B/R's preseason Top 100 list, Franklin Arias has not exactly come out of nowhere, but he has leveled up his offensive game in a major way. The 20-year-old is batting .325/.411/.596 with 16 doubles, 18 home runs and 48 RBI in 70 games at Double-A, and he checks all the boxes to be a long-term shortstop.
