B/R's Top 100 MLB Prospects for 2026 Season

Joel ReuterMar 20, 2026

It's time to unveil Bleacher Report's first Top 100 MLB prospect list of the new season!

The following factors helped determine where each player fell in our rankings:

Future Potential: Long-term upside often trumps production in prospect discussions, especially in the lower levels of the minors and with recent draft picks. Raw tools are often a better indicator than on-field production of what a player will eventually become.

Present Tools: For prospects in the upper levels of the minors who are close to reaching the big leagues, on-field production and polished tools were the determining factors since those players are viewed as more complete products.

Eligibility: A player must maintain rookie eligibility to be considered for inclusion. That means no more than 130 big league at-bats for position players, 50 innings for pitchers or 45 days on the active roster.

Let's dive right in!

Nos. 100-91

1 of 11
Spring Breakout - Texas Rangers v San Francisco Giants
Caden Scarborough

Nos. 100-91

100. RHP Caden Scarborough, TEX
99. SS Tyson Lewis, CIN
98. RHP Jurrangelo Cijntje, STL
97. OF Jacob Melton, TB
96. SS Dax Kilby, NYY
95. SS Emil Morales, LAD
94. LHP Hagen Smith, CWS
93. SS Kayson Cunningham, ARI
92. RHP JR Ritchie, ATL
91. C Ethan Salas, SD

-The Rangers selected Caden Scarborough in the sixth round of the 2023 draft and gave him an above-slot deal. After an injury-plagued pro debut, he logged a 2.45 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and an elite 114-to-21 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 88 innings between Single-A and High-A last year to emerge as the top arm in the Texas system.

-Dax Kilby was the Yankees first selection in the 2025 draft at No. 39 overall after their first pick was moved back 10 slots as a penalty for exceeding the luxury tax threshold. The Georgia prep standout had one of the best hit tools in his class, and it showed up in his pro debut as he hit .353/.457/.441 over 81 plate appearances at Single-A with more walks (13) than strikeouts (11).

-Still only 19 years old and with considerable raw talent, it would be silly to call this a make-or-break season for Ethan Salas, but his status as a top-tier prospect is precarious. After a disappointing 2024 season, he played just 10 games last season before a stress reaction in his back sidelined him the rest of the year, and now he'll look to reclaim his future star status.

Nos. 90-81

2 of 11
Baltimore Orioles v St. Louis Cardinals
Joshua Baez

Nos. 90-81

90. RHP Trey Gibson, BAL
89. RHP Elmer Rodríguez, NYY
88. RHP Tyler Bremner, LAA
87. RHP Carlos Lagrange, NYY
86. OF Joshua Baez, STL
85. RHP Travis Sykora, WAS
84. LHP Parker Messick, CLE
83. OF A.J. Ewing, NYM
82. RHP Jaxon Wiggins, CHC
81. RHP Logan Henderson, MIL

-The Angels have placed significant value on MLB-readiness in recent drafts, and Tyler Bremner fits the mold. With three quality pitches, plus command and clean mechanics, last year's No. 2 overall pick could easily reach the majors in his pro debut after racking up 111 strikeouts in 77.1 innings last spring at UC Santa Barbara.

-After a lackluster first four years of pro ball, outfielder Joshua Baez broke through in a big way last season, hitting .287/.384/.500 with 20 home runs and 54 steals in 117 games between High-A and Double-A. He slashed his strikeout rate from 35.6 to 20.8 percent last year, and that has unlocked impact everyday player upside.

-Right-hander Logan Henderson dazzled in five spot starts for the Brewers last season, going 3-0 with a 1.78 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 25.1 innings. The rotation picture is crowded in Milwaukee, but he has the upside and polish to break through as a difference maker on their staff in 2026.

Nos. 80-71

3 of 11
Tampa Bay Rays v Minnesota Twins
Brody Hopkins

Nos. 80-71

80. LHP Cam Caminiti, ATL
79. C Eduardo Tait, MIN
78. RHP Kyson Witherspoon, BOS
77. RHP Brandon Sproat, MIL
76. 1B Charlie Condon, COL
75. RHP Brody Hopkins, TB
74. OF Edward Florentino, PIT
73. SS Billy Carlson, CWS
72. RHP Ryan Sloan, SEA
71. SS Kaelen Culpepper, MIN

-After four starts in rookie ball, Cam Caminiti was quickly promoted to Single-A where he logged a 2.08 ERA and 75 strikeouts in 56.1 innings as one of the youngest pitchers in the Single-A Carolina League. The teenage southpaw was the first high school arm taken in the 2024 draft, and he has the upside to be a consensus top-tier pitching prospect by this time next year.

-Charlie Condon hit .433/.556/1.009 with 37 home runs in 60 games at the University of Georgia in 2024, and he put together a strong first full season in the Rockies system. The 22-year-old had an .820 OPS with 33 extra-base hits in 99 games while reaching Double-A, and he closed out the year with a .337 average over 22 games in the Arizona Fall League.

-The prospect prize of the deal that sent Randy Arozarena to the Mariners, Brody Hopkins is now the consensus top pitching prospect in a Tampa Bay system that churns out impact arms. The 6'4", 200-pound right-hander checks all the boxes to be a rotation staple, and after logging a 2.72 ERA with 141 strikeouts in 116 innings at Double-A last year, he could debut in 2026.

64. SS Arjun Nimmala, TOR
63. 2B Michael Arroyo, SEA
62. OF Theo Gillen, TB
61. OF Emmanuel Rodríguez, MIN

-The Nationals front office did a great job turning controllable lefty reliever José A. Ferrer into a legitimate catcher of the future in Harry Ford. Hopelessly blocked by Cal Raleigh in Seattle, he now has a clear path to unseat the underperforming Keibert Ruiz at some point in 2026, and his athleticism and elite on-base skills give him a high production floor.

-Arjun Nimmala hit .224/.313/.381 with 29 doubles, 13 home runs, 61 RBI and 17 steals in 120 games at High-A last season. Those numbers might not immediately jump off the page, but he played the entire season at the age of 19, putting him miles ahead of the usual developmental curve.

-With a 50-hit, 60-power offensive profile and the athleticism to be a well-rounded contributor, Emmanuel Rodríguez has All-Star upside, but he needs to stay on the field. The 23-year-old has played just 295 games across five minor league seasons, including just 65 last year. He made up for lost time by playing in the Dominican Winter League, where he hit .292/.417/.646 with four home runs and 11 RBI in 18 games.

58. C Joe Mack, MIA
57. SS/OF Jett Williams, MIL

55. OF Justin Crawford, PHI
54. SS Carson Williams, TB
53. 1B Ralphy Velazquez, CLE
52. SS JoJo Parker, TOR
51. OF Ryan Waldschmidt, ARI

-The Marlins have used 19 different Opening Day starters at catcher in 33 years as a franchise, but Joe Mack has the potential to finally stop that revolving door. The 23-year-old has logged back-to-back seasons with an .800 OPS and 20 home runs in the minors, and he has developed into a good all-around defensive catcher with a plus throwing arm.

-All signs point to the Phillies turning Justin Crawford loose as the everyday center fielder to start the season, and he's earned the opportunity. The son of former MLB All-Star Carl Crawford hit .334/.411/.452 with 34 extra-base hits and 46 steals in 112 games at Triple-A last season, and while there are some concerns about his high groundball rate, he has nothing left to prove in the minors.

-Ryan Waldschmidt was a batted-ball metrics darling during his junior season at the University of Kentucky, and he backed it up in his first full pro campaign. The No. 31 overall pick in the 2024 draft hit .289/.419/.473 with 27 doubles, 18 home runs, 78 RBI and 29 steals in 134 games between High-A and Double-A, and he could be manning left field in the majors by midseason.

Nos. 50-41

Spring Breakout - Colorado Rockies v Chicago White Sox
Caleb Bonemer

Nos. 50-41

50. SS Ethan Holliday, COL
49. OF Mike Sirota, LAD
48. SS/3B Caleb Bonemer, CWS
47. LHP Connelly Early, BOS
46. OF Dylan Beavers, BAL
45. C/1B Josue Briceño, DET
44. OF Owen Caissie, MIA
43. LHP Jamie Arnold, ATH
42. LHP Robby Snelling, MIA
41. OF Chase DeLauter, CLE

-There's a new No. 1 prospect in the White Sox system after Caleb Bonemer debuted with a bang in 2025. The 20-year-old hit .281/.401/.473 with 30 doubles, 12 home runs and 29 steals while logging a 15.8 percent walk rate. His future is likely at the hot corner, but he has more than enough offensive upside to be a clean fit.

-Dylan Beavers debuted last August and posted a 120 OPS+ with 10 extra-base hits and a terrific .375 on-base percentage over 137 plate appearances. With veterans Taylor Ward and Tyler O'Neill manning the corner outfield spots he'll need to earn his playing time, but he has dark horse AL Rookie of the Year upside if he breaks through.

-The oft-injured Chase DeLauter finally made his MLB debut last season during the playoffs, and now he is ticketed to join Steven Kwan and George Valera in Cleveland's starting outfield. He has a .302/.384/.504 line over 583 plate appearances in the minors, and while he has yet to play more than 57 games in a single season, he offers as much potential for immediate 2026 impact as any bat on this list.

Nos. 40-31

7 of 11
Chicago Cubs v Texas Rangers
Moises Ballesteros

Nos. 40-31

40. LHP Gage Jump, ATH
39. C Alfredo Duno, CIN
38. SS Josuar Gonzalez, SF
37. C Rainiel Rodriguez, STL
36. LHP Liam Doyle, STL
35. OF Zyhir Hope, LAD
34. C Moises Ballesteros, CHC
33. RHP Jonah Tong, NYM
32. SS Franklin Arias, BOS
31. OF Eduardo Quintero, LAD

-The Giants gave Josuar Gonzalez a bonus of just under $3 million as one of the headliners of the 2025 international class, and he looked as good as any prospect in the Dominican Summer League last year. He hit .288/.404/.455 with 19 extra-base hits, 33 steals and more walks (37) than strikeouts (36) in 52 games, and his stateside debut could quickly push him even higher up this list.

-Moises Ballesteros has a clear path to the regular DH job for the Cubs this year, and he earned it by hitting .333/.435/.564 with four extra-base hits in 14 games as a September call-up. He profiles as an offense-only version of Alejandro Kirk, with a bit more playable power.

-The Dodgers have some elite prospect talent in the outfield, with Eduardo Quintero (31), Zyhir Hope (35) and Mike Sirota (49) all earning a spot inside the top 50 in these rankings. After hitting .293/.415/.508 with 22 doubles, 19 home runs and 47 steals in 113 games between Single-A and High-A as a teenager, Quintero has moved to the front of the pack.

Payton Tolle

Nos. 30-21

30. RHP Seth Hernandez, PIT
29. SS Bryce Rainer, DET
28. SS George Lombard Jr., NYY
27. RHP Andrew Painter, PHI
26. LHP Payton Tolle, BOS
25. OF Lazaro Montes, SEA
24. SS Eli Willits, WAS
23. 2B Luis Peña, MIL
22. LHP Kade Anderson, SEA
21. 2B Travis Bazzana, CLE

-Despite getting knocked around with a 6.06 ERA in 16.1 innings in his MLB debut, left-hander Payton Tolle still offers one of the highest ceilings of any pitching prospect thanks to his elite fastball that stands out for both velocity and life. He logged a 36.5 percent strikeout rate across 91.2 innings in the minors last year, and has frontline upside if he can dial in his secondary stuff.

-The No. 1 overall pick in last year's draft, Eli Willits jumped straight to Single-A for his pro debut and hit .300/.397/.360 in 58 plate appearances. He will be 18 years old for the entire 2026 season, and his 60-hit, 60-speed profile and overall polish should help him hold his own against older competition.

-Kade Anderson went 12-1 with a 3.18 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 180 strikeouts in 119 innings as the ace of an LSU team that won the national championship last year, and the Mariners shut him down for the year after taking him No. 3 overall in the 2025 draft. His pitchability gives him a high floor and should allow him to move quickly, and he backs it with a legitimate frontline ceiling.

Nos. 20-11

9 of 11
Texas Rangers v Kansas City Royals
Carter Jensen

Nos. 20-11

20. 1B Bryce Eldridge, SF
19. SS Aidan Miller, PHI
18. IF Sal Stewart, CIN
17. OF Carson Benge, NYM
16. OF Josue De Paula, LAD
15. C Carter Jensen, KC
14. SS Sebastian Walcott, TEX
13. OF Max Clark, DET
12. LHP Thomas White, MIA
11. RHP Bubba Chandler, PIT

-Despite some questions about his long-term defensive home, Sal Stewart solidified his status as an elite prospect with a standout 2025 season in the minors and a terrific MLB debut. The 22-year-old hit .309/.383/.524 with 34 doubles, 20 home runs and 80 RBI in 118 games between Double-A and Triple-A, then logged a 121 OPS+ with five home runs in 18 games as a September call-up.

-The Mets have given Carson Benge a long look for the open right field job this spring, and the job will be his as soon as he is deemed ready. A two-way player in college, he turned his full attention to hitting as a pro and posted a .281/.385/.472 line with 47 extra-base hits across three levels while reaching Triple-A in 2025.

-No September call-up had a louder debut than Carter Jensen, who hit .300/.391/.550 with six doubles, three home runs and 13 RBI in 69 plate appearances. He is expected to serve as the primary DH and backup catcher to begin the 2026 season, and he has the potential to add some much-needed run production to the Kansas City offense.

Nos. 10-1

10 of 11
Philadelphia Phillies v Detroit Tigers
Kevin McGonigle

Nos. 10-1

10. OF Walker Jenkins, MIN
9. SS Colt Emerson, SEA
8. RHP Trey Yesavage, TOR
7. RHP Nolan McLean, NYM
6. C Samuel Basallo, BAL
5. 2B JJ Wetherholt, STL
4. SS Leo De Vries, ATH
3. SS Jesús Made, MIL
2. SS Konnor Griffin, PIT
1. SS Kevin McGonigle, DET

-The Athletics acquired Leo De Vries in exchange for All-Star closer Mason Miller last summer, and after hitting .409/.447/.682 with three doubles, three home runs and 11 RBI in 47 plate appearances this spring, he might be closer to the majors than expected. Still only 19 years old, he reached Double-A down the stretch last year and hit .281/.359/.551 over 103 plate appearances.

-Konnor Griffin went from promising prep draft pick to squarely in the "top prospect in baseball" conversation by hitting .333/.415/.527 with 23 doubles, 21 home runs, 94 RBI and 65 steals while reaching Double-A in his pro debut. The 19-year-old will be manning shortstop in Pittsburgh at some point in 2026, and he has the tools to make a Roman Anthony-esque impact once he arrives.

-He doesn't quite have the same ceiling as Konnor Griffin, but Kevin McGonigle is a near lock to be an impact player thanks to his 70-hit, 60-power offensive profile. He might have the best bat-to-ball skills of any prospect since Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and winning AFL MVP honors last fall helped further validate his MLB-readiness.
