Latest Heat Rumors Update DeMar DeRozan, Bradley Beal Buzz Amid LeBron James Pursuit
The Miami Heat are reportedly a landing spot for DeMar DeRozan in free agency if LeBron James doesn't sign with the team.
According to Barry Jackson and Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, the Heat are a "real possibility" to add DeRozan if James signs elsewhere despite currently being in a "holding pattern" with the veteran.
Miami has also held a "preliminary discussion" with Bradley Beal despite not "vigorously" pursuing him, per Jackson and Chiang.

The Heat are reportedly among the top landing spots for James alongside the Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves.
Miami has already made a major offseason move, acquiring Giannis Antetokounmpo in a blockbuster trade with the Milwaukee Bucks.
With Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo immediately becoming an imposing defensive duo, the Heat seem to be searching for more offensive help from their wings.
DeRozan spent the 2025-26 season with the Sacramento Kings, appearing in 77 contests. He averaged 18.4 points and 4.1 assists per game, shooting 49.7 percent from the field and 32.0 percent from behind the arc.
Beal was limited to a mere seven games on the Los Angeles Clippers last season due to a hip injury, recording 8.2 points and 1.7 assists in 20.2 minutes per game on 37.5/36.8/75.0 shooting splits.
