New LeBron James Rumors on Potential 'Done Deal' With Non-Cavs Team, Draymond Green Buzz
ESPN's Brian Windhorst revealed Friday that a source told him LeBron James had a "done deal" in free agency with a team other than the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Windhorst relayed the situation during an appearance on ESPN Cleveland, saying, "I'm hearing stuff in other cities too. I'm not gonna say who, but I had somebody on the phone with me today that I consider a good source who was swearing it's a done deal in another city a couple hours ago. I am being very, very cautious. Right now, it's too scattered. I also know how LeBron has operated. They have kept their circle very tight."

One unsubstantiated rumor that has surfaced is the idea of LeBron trying to recruit longtime Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green to go with him to Cleveland.
However, Windhorst said Friday that he has "not heard that from a credible source."
James has spent the past eight seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, but he informed the team on June 30 that he intended to play elsewhere next season.
LeBron has been linked to several organizations since then, and his agent went public with some of them last week.
On his Game Over podcast, Rich Paul revealed a white board that featured the Cavs, Warriors, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics and San Antonio Spurs.
Paul made it clear that all 10 of those teams would be under consideration by LeBron.
James is most synonymous with the Cavaliers since he spent his first seven NBA seasons in Cleveland before leaving to play for the Heat for four years. LeBron returned to Cleveland 2014, leading them to four consecutive NBA Finals and their first NBA championship.
The 41-year-old James is from Akron, Ohio, so Cleveland is essentially his hometown team, and returning there always feels like a strong possibility.
James has also been heavily linked to the Warriors, though, with ESPN's Shams Charania (h/t ESPN's Anthony Slater) reporting last week that the Warriors were planning to pursue James in free agency.
It was noted that the Warriors wanted to bring together three Klutch Sports Group players in LeBron, Green and Anthony Davis, but ESPN Andscape's Marc J. Spears recently reported that the Washington Wizards have rebuffed trade calls on Davis.
If James signs with Golden State and Green re-signs, they would join forces with future Hall of Famer Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler, the latter of whom is coming off a torn ACL.
Cleveland offers James the opportunity to play alongside Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen and possibly James Harden, should the latter re-sign.
The Sixers have emerged as an intriguing option for James as well after they acquired Jaylen Brown in a trade with the Celtics, adding him to a core of Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe.
