Tennessee's New Black Uniforms Unveiled in Video, Photos After Adidas Switch For 2026 CFB Season

Tennessee football unveiled new Adidas dark mode uniforms ahead of the 2026-27 season.

The Volunteers provided a first look at the new all-black uniforms in a series of Thursday posts on social media.

The Volunteers revealed new orange and white uniforms earlier this week.

The dark mode uniforms were first introduced at Tennessee in 2008 before making a comeback in 2021.

The jerseys feature orange accents including stripes on the pants, numbers in a new cont and Tennessee's logo inside a circle on the front collar, according to the Volunteers.

The uniforms also feature the slogan "I will give my all!" inside the collar, according to Tennessee.

The introduction of the new dark mode uniforms comes the week after Adidas officially began a decade-long partnership as Tennessee's official apparel and footwear supplier.

Tennessee had previously partnered with Adidas from 1995 to 2014 before switching to Nike through the 2025-26 academic year.

The Volunteers will now return to Adidas in a partnership that includes new uniform designs and NIL opportunities for student athletes, according to the program.

The new Adidas uniforms will debut for the first time when Tennessee soccer plays an exhibition match against Clemson on Aug. 5, one month before the Volunteers debut the new football uniforms on Sept. 5 during the team's home season opener against Furman.

Tennessee has yet to announce when the dark uniforms will make their debut. The black jerseys have previously been featured around Halloween, so the Volunteers' Nov. 7 rivalry matchup with Kentucky could be one to look out for.
