Justin Bieber, Shakira, BTS Among Stars to Perform in 2026 FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show
There will be plenty of star power at the final of the 2026 men's World Cup, and it won't all be on the pitch.
FIFA announced Wednesday that Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira, BTS, Afrobeats star Burna Boy, Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the PS22 Chorus will all perform at halftime of the final on July 19, per Maria Sherman of the Associated Press.
Coldplay's Chris Martin curated the 11-minute performance, and he and his band will join the PS22 Chorus, which is a choir of elementary school students based in Staten Island, New York.
"The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can," Bieber said in a statement. "I'm grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it's already helping expand access to education for children around the world."
Sherman noted the show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
This comes after there were Opening Ceremony performances in Mexico City, Toronto and Los Angeles that featured performances from Andrea Bocelli, Shakira and Katy Perry, among others.
The only question now is which teams will join the performers in the final.
At this point, there are only eight teams remaining with the quarterfinals set to begin Thursday with France facing Morocco. France has looked dominant throughout the tournament and is looking to take the next step after losing to Argentina in the final of the last men's World Cup.
Argentina is also one of the eight quarterfinalists and set to face Switzerland on Saturday.
They are on the other side of the bracket as France, which means there could be a rematch in the final between Lionel Messi's side and Kylian Mbappé's team.
