Notre Dame is paying tribute to the stadium by featuring multiple nods to the Green Bay Packers on the uniforms, according to the program.
The deep blue color of the uniforms is a tribute to the Acme Packers, the name under which the franchise played in 1921 when the NFL was known as the American Professional Football Association, according to Notre Dame.
The Fighting Irish reported the uniform numbers are in a blocky font inspired by the era of Paul Hornung, who played for Notre Dame before going on to win the first Super Bowl with the Packers in 1967.
The jerseys also feature stripes on the shoulders which Notre Dame said were inspired by the modern Packers.
The back of the collar additionally features 11 shamrocks to commemorate the program's officially-claimed national championships, as well as an American flag on the front to celebrate the nation's 250th anniversary.
The 13th annual Shamrock Series between Notre Dame and Wisconsin is set to take place Sept. 6 in Green Bay.
