After Jaylen Brown was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers, the star forward responded to a viral Instagram post showing a 6-year-old Boston Celtics fan crying over his departure.

"Don't worry lil bro, we will always be friends," Brown wrote alongside a heart emoji.

He kept his word on Tuesday, meeting the young fan:

Brown was traded for Paul George, two first-round picks and two second-round picks, a shocking deal that shook up the Eastern Conference this summer. But plenty of fans in Boston were sad to see him go.
