Top 10 Dynasty Mode Teams in EA College Football 27

Adam KramerJul 7, 2026

In this world, you are king. You call the plays. You run the program. You navigate recruiting and the transfer portal and the many nuances of college football. For better or worse, you hold all the cards when creating a dynasty in College Football 27.

EA Sports' latest college football game has deeper dynasty options than ever, but before you dive into all the new features, you need to answer one simple question: Which team are you going to run?

The answer is, well, complicated. You have options. To help you navigate these options, here's a look at some of the finest options this year's dynasty lineup has to offer.

The First 5: Obvious Programs That Figure

College Football Playoff National Championship: Miami v Indiana

Let's slowly work our way into the exercise by offering up five teams with obvious incentives that would be solid places to start.

For those looking to avoid a massive rebuild while inheriting plenty of speed and talent out of the gate, look no further. While there are plenty of talented teams out there, these jump out.

Oregon

They're the most talented team on paper in College Football 27. Period. You'll get Dante Moore. You'll get elite players at wideout and on defense. Oh, and you'll get the overflowing closet of glowing uniforms.

Texas

Like Oregon, Texas is loaded. And like the Ducks, it starts at quarterback. There is something intriguing about playing as Arch Manning. Also, you'll get Bevo, one of the best mascots in all of sports, on your side as well.

Miami

The U is very much back, and now you can take this proud program one step further. After a runner-up showing in the College Football Playoff, Miami is loaded yet again. Win a natty with this loaded roster, and the football assembly line is off and running.

Ole Miss

For starters, Trinidad Chambliss and Kewan Lacy. Sometimes, picking a dynasty can start with two dominant players capable of producing dominant outcomes. After that, it's up to you to do your very best Lane Kiffin impression. Although this time, stay a while longer.

Indiana

Last but not least, the anomaly. For decades, Indiana was the team fans transformed into national champions in the game, knowing such a feat was impossible in real life. Now, however, the tables have turned. Hop aboard. It's been a wild ride.

The Single-Player Experience: Ohio State

Every so often, a player comes along who is so talented that you have to change all your protocols.

That player this year is Jeremiah Smith, the top-rated player in College Football 27 and the first-ever 99. The Ohio State wideout has delivered two dominant seasons after entering college football as the nation's No. 1 recruit.

A few years later, and here we are.

Regardless of your thoughts on Ohio State, one of the polarizing teams in the sport, Smith transcends all loyalties and dislikes. He is Reggie Bush. He is Vince Young. He is Bo Jackson.

He is the kind of player you throw to 30 times per game, smashing records and other teams along the way. Maybe you can convince him to stay at Ohio State for two more years, although this is likely to be a one-year partnership.

And you know what? Worth it. Take one of the greatest players the game has known and enjoy every minute. From there, your dynasty can begin.

The Halfway Rebuild: Oklahoma State

To understand how we arrived here, one must first take a trip back in time.

Oklahoma State's 2025 season was nothing short of a disaster. Mike Gundy, the team's longtime head coach, was fired midseason due to the team's abysmal play. They finished the year 1-11, ending the season with the No. 126 ranked defense and the No. 134 ranked offense.

In a word, woof.

In the year 2026, however, a lot can change in a few months. The Pokes hired head coach Neal Brown, and he recruited QB Drew Mestemaker and running back Caleb Hawkins to join him in Stillwater.

Those two alone make Oklahoma State a delightful team to play with, as do the dozens of other players, many with meaningful collegiate experience, poised to make an impact.

The rebuild is underway. If you're looking to take a strong initial foundation and build it into something more, with two enormous stars to get you started, look no further.

Enough is Enough: Nebraska

4 of 6
COLLEGE FOOTBALL: NOV 28 Iowa at Nebraska

That's it. It's time.

While bluebloods across the country find their footing—Miami, Texas and others—Nebraska still finds itself stuck in the mud.

You are the individual to change that.

It doesn't matter the coach or quarterback. It doesn't matter the year. The last time Nebraska won 10 football games in a season, the year was 2012. And if we're being completely honest, the Cornhuskers haven't truly looked like a dominant football program in nearly three decades.

In terms of inherited talent, things look reasonable. EA Sports has gifted Nebraska an overall team rating of 83, which is squarely in the top 25. You won't be playing with an overflowing amount of star power, but the cupboard isn't empty, either.

Regardless, it's time. Right the wrong. Fix the blueblood. Do what many coaches couldn't and fix the football program in Lincoln.

Indiana 2.0: UL Monroe

5 of 6
UL Monroe v Auburn

If you want something more—something challenging, adventurous, and absolutely not for the weak—UL Monroe is your destination. Take over the lowest-rated team in College Football 27 and see how far you can take them.

With an overall rating of 69, the Warhawks are at the very bottom, just above NIU, UMass and Southern Miss. The offense is rough, the defense is worse and the challenge is clear.

Do you accept?

In the era of Indiana football, anything is possible. A program that lost more football games than almost any in history is now at the top of the mountain. It can be done, if you have the stomach for it.

Winners of only 10 games over the last three seasons combined, UL Monroe needs help. If you're truly looking for the full rebuild experience—the task of bringing a football program back from the depths—the opportunity has arrived.

The One and Only: [Insert Your Team Here]

6 of 6
College Football Playoff National Championship: Miami v Indiana

Let's be real, you know what team you want to play as. It doesn't matter who needs help, what the rosters look like and what other incentives might exist.

There is one team above all others: the team you root for.

It's as simple as that.

Part of the joys of starting a dynasty is putting your heart and soul into the process. That emotion can't be digitally manufactured. That loyalty can't be faked. It takes time—wins and losses, joy and disappointment—all accumulated over time.

The team you grew up, that's the answer. No matter how much intrigue another program might be able to offer, it just won't be the same.

So, do the right thing. No matter where your football program currently sits in the college football hierarchy, take good care of them. Keep them at the top or bring them to the top.

You've got this.
