Watch Giannis' Funny Reaction to LeBron Possibly Joining Heat and Hype James in 'GOAT' Talk on Video

Giannis Antetokounmpo may have made a subtle sales pitch to LeBron James as he awaits his trade to the Miami Heat becoming official.

The two-time NBA MVP and brother Alex collaborated with streamer n3on for a video that went live Monday. During their chat, Giannis identified James as his GOAT and shrugged his shoulders when informed that viewers in the chat said they want to see the two team up in South Florida.

The Stein Line's Marc Stein reported the Heat are among the teams that at least believe they're still in the running to sign James. According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, James and his reps have been tight-lipped about where his head is at. That's not dissimilar from how he approached free agency in the past.

LeBron put any past differences with Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert aside and returned to Northeast Ohio in 2014. Whatever bad blood he felt toward Heat president Pat Riley is probably gone by this point.

Miami's biggest hurdle is that its supporting cast behind Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo isn't all that convincing.

Having already traded away four supporting players to land Giannis, the team suffered a big blow when Norman Powell agreed to a deal with the Chicago Bulls. There isn't much money left over to bring in additional pieces.

A few years ago, a LeBron/Giannis tandem would've been enough almost on its own to put the Heat in title contention.

Now, James is 41 and no longer the singular force he once was. Meanwhile, the wear and tear might be starting to add up for Antetokounmpo, who has logged 70-plus appearances just once since 2018-19.

Miami would make more sense if James had the luxury of time. The Heat's front office could need a full year to truly build around Antetokounmpo and Adebayo, and that's time LeBron doesn't have.

Even if Giannis were to make a direct pitch to the surefire Hall of Famer, that may not be enough to convince him on a move back down to South Beach.
