USA Eliminates Bosnia and Herzegovina Final Match Stats, Highlights & Updated World Cup 2026 Bracket
The United States men's national team is on to the round of 16 at its home World Cup.
The USMNT benefited from goals by Folarin Balogun and Malik Tillman to beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0 in the round of 32 at Levi's Stadium.
Earning the win wasn't easy, though, as Balogun was sent off with a one-goal lead in the second half on a controversial play.
The win placed the USMNT into the round of 16 against Belgium, a game that will be played on July 6 in Seattle.

The Americans fought hard to find a breakthrough inside the home of the San Francisco 49ers.
Folarin Balogun gave the Americans a much-needed halftime advantage with a strike in the 45th minute.
Balogun was at the center of another key moment in the 64th minute, when he was controversially sent off for a challenge on Tarik Muharemovic.
The decision was made after a lengthy discussion with the VAR. The red card means Balogun won't be able to play against Belgium. He is the USMNT's leading scorer at the World Cup.
Malik Tillman provided some needed insurance in the 82nd minute, when he struck a free kick into the back of the net.
Bosnia and Herzegovina attempted to make a late push at Matt Freese's goal, but it failed to get anything past the USMNT netminder.
The 2-0 win marked the first time in the tournament that the USMNT held a clean sheet.
Next up for the Americans is a trip to Seattle to face Belgium in the round of 16, a rematch of a knockout-round game in 2014 that the Belgians won.
