5-Star WR Jett Harrison, Brother of Marvin Harrison Jr., Reveals CFB Commitment Decision
The Ohio State football team is keeping it in the family with its latest high-profile recruitment.
Per Hayes Fawcett of Rivals, class of 2028 5-star wide receiver Jett Harrison announced his commitment to the Buckeyes on Wednesday over offers from Miami and Oregon. Harrison is the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison and the younger brother of former Ohio State star and Arizona Cardinals wideout Marvin Harrison Jr.
A 6'1", 175-pound prospect out of St. Joseph's Prep in Philadelphia, Harrison is ranked as the No. 2 wide receiver and No. 4 overall player in the 2028 class in 247Sports' composite. While he's not as big as his 6'3", 220-pound older brother, he has similar measurements to his Hall of Fame father, who was listed at 6'0" and 185 pounds during his legendary career with the Indianapolis Colts.
Charles Power of On3.com described Harrison as a "dominant wide receiver prospect with an elite combination of ball skills and route-running ability as an underclassman prospect." Power noted that the youngster had a strong sophomore campaign in which he caught 15 touchdown passes, including a four-touchdown performance against national powerhouse St. Frances Academy.
Harrison will try to follow in his father and brother's footsteps as he develops with the Buckeyes in preparation for a potential career in the NFL.
Harrison won't be the only player on Ohio State with a famous lineage when he steps on campus in 2028, as wideout Chris Henry Jr. will presumably still be on the roster after arriving as one of the headliners of the Buckeyes' 2026 recruiting class. Henry is the son of the late former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry, who died in 2009.
