EA continues to look for ways to make its sports offerings as realistic as possible, while also battling gamer fatigue. They have continuously upgraded gameplay, with this year's addition being customizable pre-play adjustments.
There is also dynamic weather, which will affect gamers' ability to execute offense and defense, just as it would on a Saturday afternoon in November. The gameday experience is amplified, too, with the realest, most accurate presentation of a given school's gameday environment.
The Dynasty mode allows gamers to recruit, navigate the tricky waters of NIL, and complete all of the tasks of an athletic director. It is the most hands-on mode in the game and allows them full autonomy over their chosen school's program.
After gamers create their own players, they can take them through the Road to Glory mode, where they will have the ability to earn NIL, develop their draft stock, and even compete for the Heisman Trophy.
Each new mode comes with stakes so that the gamer does not tire of them. Whether it is increasing a team's stature or a player's value, or earning new playbooks and uniforms in the Road to the College Football Playoff, no mode is meaningless and, hopefully, enhances the experience for the player.
