Kylian Mbappé, Good at the Footy

France's main man continued his absurd form at this year's World Cup, scoring a brace as the French dominated Sweden, 3-0.

Bradley Barcola added a goal in a game that easily could have seen France put up five or six.

The French held 61 percent of possession, an xG advantage of 3.15-0.56, out-shot the Swedes 25-8 (12-3 on goal) and had nine corners to Sweden's one.

It was about as one-sided a match you'll see, and it came against a very solid Sweden side. France are simply that good.

Up next for France is a date with Paraguay, who will fancy themselves giant-killers after taking down Germany. Best of luck to them—the French currently look unbeatable.

Norway Wins First Knockout Round Game in its History

It didn't come easy, but Norway defeated Côte d'Ivoire 2-1 behind an Erling Haaland winner—who else?—in the 86th minute.

Antonio Nusa gave Norway the lead in the 39th minute with a banger from the corner of the box, but a brilliant Amad Diallo equalizer in the 74th minute set the stage for a tense finish.

Haaland alleviated the tension for Norway, a historical result for the country.

Côte d'Ivoire played well but it was a just result. Norway held 53 percent of possession and an 2.02-1.36 advantage in xG, though Côte d'Ivoire out-shot their counterparts 14-9 (5-4 on goal) and had a whopping 14 corners to just three for the Norwegians.

The chances were there for Côte d'Ivoire. Norway were just a touch more clinical. The country's reward is a Round of 16 matchup against a talented but beatable Brazilian side.

Mexico Earns Fourth Clean Sheet of World Cup in Emphatic Victory

Julián Quiñones scored in the 22nd minute and Raúl Jiménez added another tally shortly thereafter in the 31st as Mexico dominated early en route to a 2-0 victory that marked the team's first knockout round victory at the World Cup since 1986.

Ecuador only had one shot on goal, but it was a great chance in the 40th minute courtesy of John Yeboah.

However, Raúl Rangel came through with an amazing save en route to Mexico's fourth clean sheet in four tries in this World Cup.

Mexico has now outscored its opponents 8-0 thus far.

El Tri kept the pressure going in the second half and had a few good chances for a third goal.

The third goal never arrived, but Mexico cruised to the Round of 16, where they will face the winner of the Round of 32 matchup between England and DR Congo. That match will occur on Wednesday at noon ET in Atlanta, and the victor faces Mexico on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET in Mexico City.
