Haaland is the headliner of Tuesday's clash at AT&T Stadium.
The Manchester City forward bagged a pair of goals in games against Senegal and Iraq. He didn't start against France with the knockout round on the minds of the Norway coaching staff.
Haaland is fully rested for Tuesday's game with Ivory Coast, which doesn't bode well for the Elephants defense.
Norway netted seven goals in its two group-stage wins. It is more than just Haaland, although he is a vital part of the attack.
Alexander Sorloth is a strong supporting striker to Haaland and Arsenal's Martin Odegaard is the driving force of chance creation.
Norway will unquestionably create chances. It's just a matter of how many dangerous spaces Haaland finds himself in, and if the Ivory Coast can contain him over 90 minutes.
Ivory Coast only conceded twice in Group E, but both of those concessions came against Germany. Deniz Undav bagged a pair of second-half goals against the Ivorians on Matchday 2.
The Ivorians used a late goal to beat Ecuador and then a Nicolas Pepe brace to down Curacao to confirm second place in Group E.
The Elephants have their own attackers to watch, including Yan Diomande, a 19-year-old RB Leipzig player who is one of the hottest names on the European transfer market.
Diomande will cause trouble for Norway's full-backs on the flanks. With Pepe, Ivory Coast has a polished finisher who could score and contribute to a surprise result.
Norway can't take the game lightly. There are mild concerns about its defense after a four-goal concession to France on Matchday 3.
If anything, Norway-Ivory Coast appears to be one of the best games for goals in the round of 32.
That could mean we see yet another moment or two from Haaland on the world stage.
