EA's CFB 27 Video Game Unveils Top Player Ratings for Big Ten, SEC, ACC Ahead of Release Date
EA Sports revealed the 10 highest-rated players from the Big Ten, SEC and ACC in the upcoming College Football 27 video game on Friday.
The Big Ten is led by the highest-rated player in the entire game, that being Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, who comes in at a 99 overall:
In the SEC, it is a three-way tie at the top at 96 overall between Missouri offensive tackle Cayden Green and running back Ahmad Hardy, and Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy:
The ACC's top-10 list is dominated by Miami Hurricanes with five of them in the rankings, led by dynamic wide receiver Malachi Toney at 96 overall:
Smith is somewhat surprisingly one of only two OSU players among the 10 highest-rated in the Big Ten, along with quarterback Julian Sayin at 94 overall.
Five Oregon Ducks are on the list, though, including 95-overall quarterback Dante Moore, who enters the 2026 season as a leading Heisman Trophy candidate.
There is a great deal of diversity on the SEC list with Mizzou being the only team to have multiple players in the top 10.
Lacy may be the SEC player gamers are most excited to use after he scored 24 touchdowns and helped lead Ole Miss on a surprising run to the College Football Playoff semifinals last season.
On the heels of reaching the National Championship Game and nearly upsetting undefeated Indiana last season, Miami should be a fun and explosive team to play as in College Football 27.
Toney, running back Mark Fletcher Jr. and transfer quarterback Darian Mensah are all rated 91 overall or higher, so gamers should put up plenty of points while controlling the Canes.
College Football 27 is set for a July 9 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, but those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition or MVP Bundle can begin playing on July 6.
