England vs. Panama Odds, Live Stream Schedule, Group Standings, Scenarios for World Cup 2026

England has an ideal chance to bounce back from its draw with Ghana on Matchday 3 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage against Panama.

Harry Kane and Co. are going up against the worst team in Group L.

The expectation is for the Three Lions to win by multiple goals on Saturday at MetLife Stadium and take first place in Group L.

Group L Standings

  1. England - 4 points (+2 goal differential)
  2. Ghana - 4 (+1)
  3. Croatia - 3 (-1)
  4. Panama - 0 (-2)

No one expects Panama to give England much of a challenge.

That's why it's okay for the Three Lions to just have four points from two Group L games.

The scoreless draw with Ghana was frustrating, but it didn't derail England's ultimate goal of winning the World Cup.

England is a massive betting favorite and should have the contest wrapped up by halftime.

Panama fell in consecutive 1-0 losses to Ghana and Croatia. The Central American side didn't play poorly in either contest, but Saturday presents a massive step up in competition for it.

Panama lost 6-2 to Brazil in a March friendly. We should expect a similar type result in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Saturday.

England just needs to win to clinch first place in Group L, but because first place is still on the line, it shouldn't do much tinkering with its lineup.

Kane is expected to lead the line with Jude Bellingham behind him in the No. 10 role. There's a chance that Thomas Tuchel opts for Marcus Rashford or Bukayo Saka on the flanks of Kane just to provide some freshness inside the final third.

A win places England in Atlanta on July 1 against a third-place team. The Three Lions would be in Mexico's portion of the bracket. A potential round-of-16 clash with El Tri in Mexico City is looming.

England can still lose out on first place with a draw. That would require a winner in the Croatia-Ghana game.

However, that's unlikely to happen against a Panama side that may not be able to contain Kane and Co. for 90 minutes.
