New 2027 NBA Mock Draft Drops from ESPN's Jeremy Woo After Full 2026 Results, Who Is No. 1?
The 2026 NBA draft is in the books, which means the attention now shifts to next year's class.
ESPN's Jeremy Woo dropped his 2027 NBA mock draft on Thursday to give fans a look at some possible lottery candidates.
Woo projects incoming Kansas freshman Tyran Stokes to go first overall to the Sacramento Kings in next year's draft, followed by Arkansas freshman Jordan Smith Jr. at No. 2 to the Chicago Bulls.

From there, he has the Memphis Grizzlies taking Arizona freshman Caleb Holt and the Houston Rockets taking BYU freshman Bruce Branch III. At No. 5, Woo projects Slovenian guard Stefan Joksimovic to land with the New Orleans Pelicans.
Seeing Stokes at No. 1 in Woo's mock draft doesn't come as much of a surprise considering he's the No. 1 prospect in the country, according to 247Sports' composite rankings. He already had NBA size at 6'7", 230 pounds, so he shouldn't have too much trouble making the jump to the next level.
Stokes is also the top pick in the latest 2027 mock draft from B/R's Jonathan Wasserman.
Holt, Smith and Branch are also all top-five prospects, making them candidates to be one-and-dones if they perform as expected.
Of course, plenty can happen over the span of the 2026-27 campaign, so a new player besides Stokes could be the consensus No. 1 pick by the time the draft rolls around.
