Julius Randle's Wife Kendra, Jaden McDaniels React to Surprise Nets-Wolves Trade
Lost in the chaos of the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade late Monday night was the surprise deal from the Minnesota Timberwolves that sent Julius Randle to the Brooklyn Nets.
Minnesota traded Randle to the Nets in a three-team deal that also included the Chicago Bulls.
The deal elicited some stunned reactions from Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels and Randle's wife, Kendra, who expressed excitement about returning to New York after the three-time All-Star previously spent five seasons with the Knicks from 2019 to '24.
McDaniels appeared to be on vacation when he was informed of the deal.
The Timberwolves essentially swapped Randle and the No. 28 pick in the 2026 draft for the 33rd pick this year. They are using some of their financial savings in the deal to retain Ayo Dosunmu on a five-year, $112 million contract.
Randle averaged 20.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game in 148 starts with Minnesota over the past two seasons.
