LSU, Ohio State Lead 'Toughest Places to Play' on EA's College Football 27 Rankings

Timothy RappJun 22, 2026

EA Sports released its list for the toughest college football stadiums for visiting teams in College Football 27 on Monday, and the usual suspects—LSU's Tiger Stadium, Ohio State's Ohio Stadium and Penn State's Beaver Stadium—topped the list.

Georgia's Sanford Stadium and Alabama's Bryant-Denny Stadium rounded out the top five, while defending national champion Indiana and its Memorial Stadium cracked the list at No. 17.

The list was pretty similar to last year's game, with LSU leading the way, though Penn State was No. 2 instead of Ohio State (which came in one place later) and Indiana didn't crack the top 25, among other differences.

There will always be a level of subjectivity to these rankings, of course, though they will tie into EA's goal of adding more atmosphere and pageantry to this year's game. That has included bringing in new fan traditions, chants, mascots, runouts and more to this year's game.

And if you've ever played out a Dynasty with an SEC team on Heisman difficulty, you know those road games to LSU, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida etc. are no walk in the park. They won't be in this year's version of the game, either.

College Football 27 drops on July 9.
