Nike Honors Jalen Brunson in New Stylish Video Highlighting Kobe Bryant's 'Mamba Mentality'

After exclusively wearing Kobe Bryant's shoes throughout the 2025-26 NBA season, New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson has been honored by Nike.

The manufacturing giant dropped a video on X praising Brunson as the "torchbearer of the Mamba Mentality" and architect of the Knicks' first title in 73 years.

Brunson is unique among NBA superstars in that he has an endorsement deal with Nike, but has declined getting his own signature shoe in favor of wearing Bryant shoes on the court.

Per Nicholas Vlahos of Sole Retriever, Brunson wore 25 different versions of Nike's Kobe sneakers throughout the 2025-26 season.

The Mamba Mentality paid off in spectacular fashion for Brunson. He put up 45 points in the closeout Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs to earn Finals MVP honors.
