Kane opened his scoring account at the 2026 World Cup with a 12th-minute penalty.
Kane's initial penalty was saved by Dominik Livakovic, but the referee ruled that Livakovic was off his line. That allowed Kane to retake his spot kick.
The Bayern Munich forward then put England back ahead in the 42nd minute with a wide-open header off a corner kick.
Croatia leveled the contest right before halftime through FC Dallas' Petar Musa. That was the last goal Croatia mustered against the English back line.
England took control in the second half thanks to the strikes from Bellingham and Rashford.
Bellingham placed the Three Lions back in front two minutes into the second half.
Rashford, who came on as a second-half substitute alongside Bukayo Saka and Morgan Rogers, finished off the victory with an 85th-minute strike.
England's attack produced 11 total shots on target. The final score could have been more lopsided if not for Livakovic's output in the Croatian net.
Next up for England are the two easier games on its Group L slate. It faces Ghana on Tuesday and then Panama on June 27.
Croatia will try to rebound on Tuesday versus Panama before it closes the group stage versus Ghana.
