5-Star WR Dakota Guerrant Announces CFB Commitment Between OSU, Oregon, Michigan
Five-star wide receiver Dakota Guerrant has chosen to play college football at Oregon, per an announcement he made on the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday.
Guerrant, who plays high school ball at Harpers Woods (Michigan), had 46 offers, including ones to Ohio State, Michigan and Texas A&M, per 247Sports.
In the end, Guerrant chose the Ducks, who are getting the No. 36 overall ranked player in the 247Sports Composite list of high school class of 2027 recruits. Guerrant is ranked fifth overall among wideouts and first among all prospects from the state of Michigan.
Andrew Ivins, 247Sports' director of scouting, provided a positive scouting report on Guerrant's play and prospects.
Of note, Ivins called Guerrant a "bonafide playmaker that can emerge as a go-to receiver on Saturdays and then possibly Sundays." He also said Guerrant "cashes checks in 50-50 situations with outstanding ball skills as he fights for positioning and climbs the ladder for easy wins," among other comments.
The 6'1", 195-pound Guerrant earned MaxPreps Junior All-American honors last year. He caught 55 passes for 1,074 yards and amassed 26 total touchdowns on offense. He also played defense and made 40 tackles, nine pass breakups and three interceptions. That's all in addition to three special teams touchdowns.
Oregon now ranks sixth on 247Sports' list of class of 2027 recruiting rankings with Guerrant aboard.
The Oregon class includes five players in 247Sports' composite top 100: Guerrant, edge Rashad Streets, safety Semaj Stanford, quarterback Will Mencl and linebacker Toa Satele.
