Rob Brzezinski, who has been with the Vikings since 1999, was put in charge of leading the football operations department through the draft at which time they conducted a search for a full-time replacement.
The Vikings announced Teasley's hiring on May 30. He spent the previous 12 seasons working for the Seattle Seahawks, including three years as assistant general manager from 2023 to '25.
Vikings co-owner Mark Wilf told reporters on June 4 that Teasley and head coach Kevin O'Connell will both report directly to ownership, with Teasley having final say over the 53-man roster. Brzezinski, who remains a key contract negotiator and cap analyst, will report to Teasley.
Pace is best known for his six-year stint as general manager of the Bears from 2015 to '21. He has worked in NFL front offices every year since 2001, including the past four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons.
During Pace's tenure leading Chicago's front office, the team went 48-65 with two playoff appearances.
The Vikings are looking to rebound after a disappointing 9-8 record in 2025. They missed the playoffs after winning 14 games the previous year.
