Brazil and Morocco played to a 1-1 draw to open their Group C campaigns at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Brazil wasn't down for long, as Vinicius Junior produced one of the best individual efforts of the first three days of the tournament in the 32nd minute.

Morocco had the most dangerous scoring opportunity deep into second-half stoppage time.
Both sides will turn to their easier Group C games against Haiti and Scotland after securing one point.
Haiti and Scotland face each other on Saturday night in Foxboro. Both teams are expected to lose to Brazil and Morocco.
The story moving forward in Group C is which one of Brazil or Morocco can score the most goals to win the group with seven points on the goal differential tiebreaker. That would be the case if no surprises occur on Matchdays 2 and 3.
