And San Antonio's superstar said he would be a bit more careful going forward, since one more flagrant foul would lead to a suspension, but it probably wouldn't dramatically affect his play style.
Despite the Spurs playing horribly in the second half, they still had a realistic chance to escape with a win in the final moments. With the Spurs up one and 16 seconds remaining, Jalen Brunson missed a potential go-ahead field goal and De'Aaron Fox raced down the other end after pulling in the rebound.
But instead of pulling the ball back and forcing the Knicks to foul, giving him a chance to shoot free throws, he went for a quick layup and was blocked by OG Anunoby.
Brunson than missed a three-pointer on the other end but Anunoby came up huge again, tipping in the rebound for what was ultimately the game-winning basket with just 1.8 seconds remaining.

This series very easily could be 3-1 in favor of the Spurs, but they simply haven't been as good in the clutch as the Knicks. They have until Saturday night's Game 5 to figure that out, or this series is a wrap.
