Knicks vs. Spurs NBA Finals Tickets at MSG More Expensive Than Nearly Every NFL Super Bowl

It could be cheaper to attend a Super Bowl than to watch the New York Knicks play the San Antonio Spurs in the 2026 NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden.

Games 3, 4 and 6 of the 2026 NBA Finals are each priced to be more expensive than almost every Super Bowl tracked by SeatGeek, the ticket platform's senior director of finance Oliver Martin told Forbes' Mark Medina.

The only exception is Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers in February 2024, Martin told Medina.

"All three home games at MSG are now pricing above every Super Bowl we've ever tracked — except Super Bowl 58, which had Taylor Swift, a dynasty matchup, and the novelty of the first Super Bowl in Vegas," Martin told Medina. "The Knicks have none of those external factors. This is pure, 27-year pent-up demand for a championship moment at MSG, and it's unlike anything we've seen on SeatGeek."

The get-in prices for Games 3 and 4 were both over $11,000 as of Friday, according to TickPick.

Knicks star Josh Hart expressed disappointment Sunday when speaking about ticket prices for his team's first home games of the Finals.

"A lot of people who have been waiting for this moment for a very long time, unfortunately, aren't able to get into the building," Hart said Sunday. "The cheapest ticket, $7,000 to 8,000, that's ridiculous."

The Knicks, which climbed out to a 2-0 series lead with a one-point victory in Friday's Game 2 in San Antonio, have the chance to get within one victory of the franchise's first title since 1973 this Monday.

Game 3 of the Finals is set to tip off 8:30 p.m. ET on Monday at Madison Square Garden.
