Erling Haaland, Norway Soccer Team Pose for Trending Viking-Themed Photo Ahead of World Cup

Erling Haaland and the Norway national football team are apparently channeling the spirit of the Vikings ahead of the FIFA World Cup.

Norway's team picture features players armed with weapons and shields on the shore of a fjord in front of Viking ship.

The photo was taken last weekend in Oslo by photographer David Yarrow after the Norwegian Football Federation decided "to do something different for their team picture," The Athletic's Greg O'Keeffe reported.

The photoshoot took place following viral videos of fans supporting Norway with a Viking ship-themed rowing chant.

Haaland is set to make his World Cup debut when the nation kicks off group play on Tuesday, June 16 with a matchup against Iraq at the New England Patriots' Gillette Stadium.
