MSG Auctioning Knicks Celebrity Row Tickets For NBA Finals Game 3 vs. Spurs

Two lucky fans are going to have the opportunity to watch Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden from celebrity row, and all the proceeds are going to a worthy cause.

MSG CEO James Dolan announced there will be an auction fundraiser for two celebrity courtside tickets starting Thursday at 12 p.m. ET that "presents an unforgettable opportunity for fans," per David Propper of the New York Post.

All the proceeds will go toward MSG's Garden of Dreams Foundation, which raises money for the city's youth.

"The Garden of Dreams Foundation is the most important work that we do at the Madison Square Garden Family of Companies, and we are proud that this Foundation has made a lasting impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands of youth across the tri-state area," Dolan said.

Propper noted this comes after the Knicks previously announced they will donate hundreds of free tickets for home games in the series to underprivileged youth in the city.

The cost of tickets at Madison Square Garden has been a consistent storyline throughout the club's run through the NBA playoffs, but the team is creating some goodwill with these moves.

And it comes as the Knicks are preparing to play in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999.

That series just so happened to be against the Spurs as well, and it didn't go well for New York. San Antonio won in five games, prolonging a championship drought for the Eastern Conference team that has dated back to the 1972-73 campaign.

Ending that drought will be easier said than done going up against Victor Wembanyama and Co., but the Knicks are playing excellent basketball. They have won 11 straight games since falling behind 2-1 to the Atlanta Hawks in the first round and have Jalen Brunson leading the way.

When those red-hot Knicks take the court for Monday's Game 3, they will have two fans cheering them on from celebrity row who won the auction and helped out a local charity in the process.
