Nike Celebrates Wemby, Spurs Reaching NBA Finals in Trending Video, 'He Has Arrived'

Nike celebrated San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama locking in his first trip to the NBA Finals with an alien-themed video Saturday night.

"He has arrived," the Nike video concluded.

Wembanyama scored 22 points Saturday night as the Spurs ended the Western Conference Finals with a 111-103 Game 7 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

He ended the night as Western Conference Finals MVP after averaging 27.3 points and 10.9 rebounds in the seven-game series.

Wembanyama also averaged 3.1 assists, 2.7 blocks and 1.4 steals in seven games against the Thunder.

He finished the series as the first player in NBA to history to record more than 15 three-pointers and 15 blocks in the same series, per ESPN Insights.

Wembanyama first signed with Nike in 2023 before he was drafted by the Spurs.

The brand has developed a signature alien logo as part of its collaboration with Wembanyama, in addition to a secondary logo featuring his initials that was released earlier this month.

Wembanyama will now have the chance to lead the Spurs to a title in his third NBA season.

That mission will begin next week when the New York Knicks arrive in San Antonio for Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
