Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs defeated Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder by the final score of 111-103 in an exhilarating Game 7 clash to win the Western Conference Finals on Saturday night.
While Oklahoma City only trailed by six points with just under one minute remaining in the fourth quarter, the Thunder missed a pair of three-pointers before San Antonio's Devin Vassell sealed the victory with a dunk.
The Spurs will now face the New York Knicks in the NBA Finals, as the league will crown a new champion for the eighth year in a row.

Wembanyama was a key contributor for San Antonio once again, finishing with 22 points and seven rebounds to go along with one block in 42 minutes of action. He shot 7-of-15 from the field and 3-of-5 from three-point territory.
Despite the loss, Gilgeous-Alexander did an admirable job of spearheading Oklahoma City's offense throughout the night. The two-time MVP scored a game-high 35 points on 12-of-21 shooting.
He also recorded nine assists, four rebounds, three steals and one block.
It was a quiet night for Thunder star Chet Holmgren, who took just two shot attempts in 33 minutes. Holmgren ended the game with four points, four rebounds and two blocks.
The Spurs got off to another hot start on Saturday, taking a 14-point lead with five minutes left in the first quarter and maintaining a 32-25 edge heading into the second.
Oklahoma City settled in defensively once the second quarter started and eventually climbed back to tie the game late in the period.
The Thunder also held a brief four-point lead near the end of the first half, although the Spurs still went up 56-53 at halftime.
San Antonio held another double-digit advantage midway through the third quarter, but Oklahoma City went on a late run to only trail by three points before the period came to a close.
After the Spurs appeared to be pulling away near the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Thunder were able to close the gap again.
They only trailed by six points with just under seven minutes left in the game and had a chance to cut the deficit to four, but San Antonio's Luke Kornet blocked Oklahoma City center Isaiah Hartenstein in transition.
The Thunder were still within striking distance for the rest of the game, but the defending champions couldn't close the gap.
Julian Champagnie stepped up for the Spurs in the win, scoring 20 points while shooting 6-of-10 from behind the arc. Stephon Castle also chipped in with 16 points, six rebounds and six assists.
