Analysis
One of the biggest surprises is the inclusion of Reyna, who hasn't started at the club level since December and has had a rocky relationship with the national team in the past.
LyonĀ midfielderĀ Tanner Tessmann missing the cut is a surprise, though he's currently dealing with a muscle injury that perhaps swayed Pochettino's decision.
Other players who may be considered snubs include Middlesbrough midfielder Aidan Morris and Real Salt LakeĀ midfielderĀ Diego Luna.
Pochettino isn't carrying a ton of depth in central midfield, so an injury there could be detrimental, though a player like Tillman or even Aaronson in a pinch could play further back.
For the most part, however, this is business as usual, with the core group that has headlined the USMNT in recent years all represented. Whether Pulisic, McKennie and others can lead this bunch on a deep run remains to be seenāthe lead-up to the World Cup over the past few years hasn't been overly promising.
But there is talent and continuity, two important factors as the United States looks to represent its host nation well.
