Michael Jordan Pays Tribute to Pep Guardiola in Video Amid Manager's Manchester City Exit

Pep Guardiola received congratulations from a fellow legend as the Manchester City manager heads into retirement.

"Hey Pep. This is Michael Jordan," His Airness said in a recorded video message. "I just wanted to congratulate you on an unbelievable career. Enjoy your retirement. Good luck on the links and keep them straight. Congratulations."

Guardiola stepped down as manager with Sunday's 2-1 loss to Aston Villa serving as his final game. 

His unbelievable tenure with Manchester City resulted in 20 trophies, including six Premier League titles, three FA Cups, five League Cups, the Champions League and a Club World Cup.

ESPN's Rob Dawson reported the club will rename their North Stand to The Pep Guardiola Stand and plans to commission a statue of the manager.

Jordan knows a little something about stacking enough trophies to earn a statue and was quite supportive of Guardiola during the latest celebration.
