Cameron Boozer's Pro Player Comp 'Ceiling' Compared to NBA Champion by Exec in New Draft Rumors
Cameron Boozer's ceiling may not be as high as that of AJ Dybantsa or Darryn Peterson, but at least one notable person in the NBA believes he can be even "better" than a five-time All-Star and NBA champion.
Josh Robbins and David Aldridge of The Athletic surveyed 13 executives, scouts and front-office officials, and one respondent suggested the Washington Wizards should select the Duke star at No. 1 because he has the "highest level of winning fiber" and will likely become "a better version of Al Horford."
Such a comment was notable since Robbins and Aldridge reported "the question on many of the respondents' minds, however, appears to be just how high Boozer's ceiling will be" even though there was a "strong sense" he is the most likely to reach said ceiling.

Exec's AJ Dybantsa NBA Comp 🤔

Exec Makes Case for Peterson over AJ 📝
That suggests a firm belief in the forward's floor, but that likely won't be enough to convince the Wizards to take him at No. 1.
After all, seven of the 10 respondents who were willing to say who they believe Washington should draft named Dybantsa. Two named Peterson, while the one who made the Horford comparison said Boozer.
Horford may not be the first name to come to mind when thinking of NBA stars, but he amassed quite the resume since entering the league as the No. 3 overall pick of the 2007 NBA draft.
He is a champion and five-time All-Star who was named to the 2010-11 All-NBA Third Team and 2017-18 All-Defensive Second Team. He has played for the Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors throughout his career and has consistently been seen as a veteran leader who can score down low or extend beyond the arc.
With that as a comparison point, Boozer may be a lock to go No. 1 overall in many NBA drafts after he won the Associated Press Player of the Year, ACC Player of the Year, Naismith Award and Wooden Award in his one collegiate season.
But this is not many NBA drafts.
It is loaded with potential franchise cornerstones in Dybantsa, Peterson, Boozer, Caleb Wilson, Darius Acuff Jr. and Keaton Wagler, among others. That could cause Boozer to slip some, and B/R's Jonathan Wasserman projected the Duke star as the No. 3 pick in his latest mock draft.
Still, the Memphis Grizzlies would surely be pleased with landing a "better" Horford with such a selection.
