Scottie Pippen Posts 'Iceman' Album Cover with Bulls NBA Title Rings in Trending Photo
Scottie Pippen has plenty of ice, and he used Drake's album release to remind everyone of that.
After Drake released his new album Iceman on Friday, the Chicago Bulls legend took to social media and posted an image of his six championship rings. The image resembled the one on Drake's album cover:
Drake is a well-known sports fan and made a number of references to athletes such as LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Jalen Hurts and Gilbert Arenas on his album.
While Pippen didn't draw a reference this time, Drake included the following lyric on his 2020 song Landed: "Pushin' five Cadillacs like a politician, I be in and out arenas like I'm Scottie Pippen."
Perhaps that inspired Pippen to become a fan of the rapper.
Or perhaps the Hall of Famer saw a golden opportunity to show off his own ice and seized it with the trending photo.
Michael Jordan gets much of the credit for Chicago's six championships, but Pippen was his running mate for every one of them and a massive part of what the Bulls did on both ends of the floor.
He was a seven-time All-NBA selection and 10-time All-Defensive selection who was the No. 2 option for those title-winning teams at the peak of his career.
And now he can show off the rings as a result.
